Find Your Kidney Function

Glomerular Filtration Rate (GFR) is the best overall index of kidney function. Normal GFR varies according to age, sex, and body size, and declines with age. To get an idea or where your current GFR approximately is, just answer the areas below. If unsure of your results please contact your primary care doctor to get accurate results.

Always consider and avoid nephrotoxic medications that can cause damage to your kidneys. Patients with worsening GFR/CKD may require nephrology consultation.
CKD Stage GFR, mL/min/1.73 m2
I ≥90
II 60–89
IIIa 45–59
IIIb 30–44
IV 15–29
